Ensuring the future of Hazelden

Endowment Giving

Hazelden created an Endowment Fund in the early 1980s to ensure that Hazelden's services to individuals, families, and professionals would remain accessible and innovative for generations to come.

Endowment givingHazelden must continue to build its endowment to provide a buffer against changing times and changing funding patterns, to ensure that research and program development remain on the cutting edge, and, most importantly, to ensure that Hazelden's remarkable programs will be available as long as they are needed.

While donors may choose to specify which program they wish to fund, a contribution to the unrestricted endowment allows Hazelden to use fund earnings where they are most needed.

Unrestricted endowment earnings help to balance the annual operating budget and support the many programs operated by Hazelden including patient aid and more.

Gifts may also be made to endowments for:

Patient Aid
Helping alcoholics and addicts pay for the treatment they need.

Butler Center for Research
Informing and improving Hazelden's delivery of recovery services for individuals and producing research that benefits the field of addiction.

Graduate School of Addiction Studies
A center of excellence for higher education in addiction counseling with a unique Twelve Step foundation, providing the best education for every student by continuously improving education outcomes.

To shape a better future for those who suffer the pain of addiction today and in the decades to come, please make a generous contribution to Hazelden's Endowment Fund.
